I have multiple special interests, including: Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Superhero’s.
I am Autistic.
I was diagnosed with ASD, (Autism Spectrum Disorder) when I was 19 years old.
Whilst undergoing my diagnosis I turned to the internet to help me better my understanding of the new word which was being used to describe me. A word which, unbeknownst to I, had been a part of me my whole life… ‘Autism’.
There is plenty of information avaliable on Autism, the lack of came in recordings of personal experiences and examples which I could relate to; resources on Autism in individuals similar to my age, but more specifically, on Autism in girls.
I intend to use this blog as a platform to share my story and be the resource I was searching for during my own diagnosis. I hope that my posts will be relatable to those also on the spectrum and provide neurotypicals with an inside eye on life with Autism.
